With spring approaching, dance, it seems, starts flourishing: The “Österreich TANZT” festival at the St. Pölten Festspielhaus presents extreme positions of what dance can be today, from folk dance to performance and sports. The State Opera Ballet premieres “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in the choreography of Jorma Elo and shows a number of repertory productions, and the Tanzquartier Wien presents a whole range of international guest performances as Austrian premieres.
