The Gewandhausorchester Leipzig will open the Musikverein´s season with four concerts as of 8th of September.
The Gewandhaus-Musicians are orchestra in residence - one of the five of this season, as well including Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, Staatskapelle Berlin, Orchestre de Paris and Orchestre National de France. The Gewandhausorchester will play four Schumann-concerts under conductor Riccardo Chailly this time and will be back in November.
