Burgenland is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of its superstar Franz Liszt, a visionary musician and composer and one of the most colorful personalities of the Romantic movement. Liszt compositions newly arranged with jazz and gypsy improvisations, Liszt accompanying videos, and pieces never performed before: His native Raiding is the epicenter of the Lisztomania 2011 festival, which comprises some 200 concerts, exhibitions, events, church services, and publications.
