The houses Wien Holding Kulturbetriebe runs are steeped in history. Mozart’s only surviving apartment is now part of the Mozarthaus and his widow rented the building that today houses the Jewish Museum; Theater an der Wien staged the first performance of “Fidelio,” Josephine Baker danced at Ronacher, and the Stadthalle has hosted Cat Stevens and the Rolling Stones; the Vienna Philharmonic was founded on the premises of today’s Haus der Musik, and Raimund Theater saw the world premiere of “Dance of the Vampires.” Today, Theater an der Wien stages great operas, world-class musicals play at Ronacher and Raimund Theater, and the Stadthalle presents international stars and top-notch events.
