The MUMOK Vienna shows processual paintings and its successors.
Paintings reflecting the process and others jumping off the wall – these two aspects of modern painting are exemplified in the exhibition „Painting: Process and Expansion“ in the MUMOK. Works by Jackson Pollock, Yves Klein, Robert Rauschenberger, Arnulf Rainer, Hermann Nitsch, Robert Morris and many others are shown to „sharpen the view on these variations of painting in order to teach people and art-students how many things have already been there“, says curator and director Edelberg Köb.
