The Albertina shows photos by seven artists who focus on the body.
Michael Jackson, Elton John, Keith Richards, Clint Eastwood and Mick Jagger are only a few of all the celebrities Gottfried Helnwein has taken pictures of. In the exhibition „Body and Language“, the Albertina shows eleven photografies of the series Helnwein made for the book „Faces“, which also give evidence of how famous people create their own image.
Erwin Wurm´s „One Minute Sculptures“ treat men and women and their relationship with objects. Helmut Newton is represented with his „Big Nudes“, others of the 80 photografies are by John Coplans, Marie-Jo Lafontaine, Elke Krystufek and Chuck Close.
